Offers Academic Scholarships

All children of members of the PFA, who are in good academic standing and have received a high school diploma for graduating in the “Class of 2011," are eligible to apply for an Educational Scholarship Award ($500 each) from the Progressive Firefighters Association, Inc. (PFA), Inc. The PFA is an organization comprised of Firefighter and civilians employed at Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. The PFA is a non-profit organization.

The award is for all high school seniors, who have been accepted to an institution of higher learning as a full time student for the upcoming fall semester (2011).

Applications can be downloaded from the web site “progressivefirefighters.com”, and post marked no later than August 11 , 2011.
